Hey everyone!! Here is a picture of me with Mt. Vesuvius in the background behind me.
I know it's been a long time, a few weeks at least since I have written last.
I am still alive and in Caserta, a wonderful city near Naples.
My companion, Anziano Marshall is a pretty funny guy and we have had a great time serving together. Most of the people we were teaching either moved up north or have been taken over by the Sorelle (Sister) missionaries, but that is good because that means we can focus on other people who need us :)
The last few weeks have been filled with too many stories to fit into one email, so I'll keep it simple. As a missionary, you are deeply involved in the work of finding people who want the Gospel, teaching whoever will listen, and doing service for people whom you would have never known if you didn't dedicate 2 years of your life to work for others happiness. You get heavily involved in the lives of the people you teach; you get the chance to walk in their shoes for some time. I'm grateful for the opportunities I have and will have in life...maybe that was a little too simple...oh well.
As for the future:
I am going up to the temple in Rome with the local congregation.
I have officially opened the application for the USMMA class of 2027 which hopefully I can get a letter of assurance for ASAP so I won't have to apply to other colleges. See you soon my friends at the Academy :)
Transfer calls are coming up which means I might be leaving or staying in Caserta.
