Hey everyone,
After 1/2 a year I am leaving Caserta to go to Agrigento, Sicilia!! Which I expect will be very hot but beautiful. Last summer it got up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit there! The Agrigento area was conquered by the Greeks a long time ago, so there are hundreds of ruins of temples which will be fun to explore on my day off. Another fun fact is that it is closer to North Africa than mainland Italy. I will be companions with Anziano Bird who seems like a cool guy, and I will have a car!
The last week was pretty standard, except for the transfer news and goodbyes only one noteworthy thing happened...I was walking out of the church in my dark blue suit with a dark red tie with a Napoli symbol on it wearing shades and a fresh haircut and an Italian man stopped me and said I looked like an elegant mafia boss (which I guess is the reason I'm going to Sicilia!) That made my day, haha!
I love being a missionary and helping people find God which changes their lives.
Well, that's about all I have for you guys this week! Tomorrow I will be traveling down the beautiful Italian coast to Sicily.
