The theme is "Let Your Light so Shine" and we will have workshops, firesides, and a mirror light activity to emphasize your role as a light of Christ. Fill out the permission slips, sign up for activities, and review all additional links & info below in preparation for an epic adventure!
Please arrange to arrive at Camp Nawakwa by 10am Wednesday, June 28.
Camp Nawakwa: 4650 Jenks Lake Road East, Angelus Oaks, CA 92305

Each ward is responsible to drive all participants from their ward to Camp Nawakwa. We suggest you all meet at the FV bldg that morning since we will be loading the mountain bikes onto a trailer and this will be the return/drop-off location on Saturday. Please check-in with Darin Terry upon arrival at camp.

Permission Slips
There are 2 links below that need to be filled out, signed and collected at the ward level. Please deliver to Darin Terry on or before the first day of camp.

Food
All food will be provided at Camp Nawakwa, starting with lunch on Wednesday through lunch on Friday. Each person will need to pack and provide their own backpack and food for Friday and Saturday (see Backpacking below).

High Adventure Activities
On Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, we will be leaving Camp Nawakwa and traveling to various locations to participate in several high adventure activities. These activities need to be picked by each person (see SignUp below). We will need drivers from all wards to get boys to/from these activities. They may not be boys from your ward. After each activity, we will return back to Camp Nawakwa in time for dinner.
All participants (including adults) please click the High Adv Activity SignUp below to choose two of the following: Fishing, Water Sports, Mountain Biking, Rock Climbing/Rappelling, shooting, or stay behind at camp (swimming, canoeing, climbing wall, archery, ax throwing, gaga ball).

If you chose Shooting as one of your activities, you must also fill out this Firearms permission and release form.

Backpacking
We will leave Camp Nawakwa on Friday afternoon and head to several different trailheads in the area. Each group will have about 12 people. We will try to keep wards together as much as possible but each group will complete their hikes at different times and will head back home separately. So make sure each boy loads your car with their backpacking stuff and all of their other personal gear.
We are purposely taking different trails and hiking different peaks because of the overnight camping group number limits. We are also all taking part in a cool “mirror light” signaling activity on Saturday at 11am from each respective peak.
Sunday
We have cancelled the Sunday 6pm testimony meeting as it is a crazy holiday weekend. Please take the opportunity to share testimonies out on the trail as part of your fireside and/or on the peak devotional.
